Judith Rechter was born in St. Louis. She studied at Washington University and Brandeis. She has an M.A. in English and taught English and creative writing in St. Louis, Seattle and Los Angeles. She has given readings at La Mama in NYC, The Venice Jail in LA, D.G. Wills, San Diego, Pelican Bay, Seattle, and Duffs in St. Louis. She is currently a member of the Beyond Baroque Workshop and lives in Santa Monica, California. Her work has appeared in No More Masks, Perspective, Columbia: A Magazine of Poetry & Prose, Sinister Wisdom, and What I Want From You, an East Bay Anthology. WiLD WEST is her first collection of poems.
